I suppose I could... I am working on a little old ibook that only has a 14" inch screen, so its hard to work in the higher resolutions.

Try this:

Gradient - very dark gray to slightly less dark gray
And a light gray radioactive symbol.
Sure, it won't look so metal, but I think it'd be cooler and easier on the eyes when used on a wallpaper. ;)
